Sorry for being inactive

Gunna make this quick:  I stopped posting/playing in June since I left my [in the process of becoming] ex-husband.  It’s been a series of big life changes for me so I’ve just been busy.  I have been playing sims still but TS4 just seems to take up so much time and effort I switched to the far easier TS2 and I did make a blog for it (Islesbury) though the theme is acting weird and due to WordPress’ new editing systems I just can’t figure out how to fix it (or anything?).

I’ve been trying to get into TS4 again, I played a bit when toddlers came out but have to update my custom content to open up the Caldos once more.  I am looking forward to playing them again, I really am!  I also want to get maybe a new pack (don’t know which, I am quite behind) and it just depends on what I can afford.

I know everyone loves the Caldos, and there is even more good news.  My new roommate has a beast of a machine and it can run TS3!  Not that I plan on switching the Caldos without being finished with their legacy, but I can possibly finish the Harks!!

Notice : LONGER Chapters!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am planning to make the CD chapters longer.  Originally they were meant to be small little diary entries, which they were, but now sometimes the pictures speak for themselves so the entries barely get to 50 words, which is annoying, so I will be making them longer.

I am also at just over 50% of my wordpress memory used for my pictures (did that sentence even make sense?) so after this challenge I might have to create a NEW blog for the Caldos, which would fit in with what I am thinking of doing concerning them, but I’m not sure on it, so, I mean, still thinking.

Other news, I am writing this on August 26th, 2015, so I am 5 months ahead on my updates, technically I could stop playing and just let them roll (I’ve done that, actually).

If you have any thoughts on what the challenge after this one should be, let me know, because hopefully I can crack out some longer chapters (I do not want to have to deal with one heiress for thirty-seven chapters again- LOOKIN AT YOU ATLA) and get this challenge done.  I was thinking TS2 but I use the in game camera because I am lazy.  😐  Also I am awful at sims 2.  Maybe I’ll stick with 4, since I plan on learning to create for it?  Any ideas or feedback (an ISBI?) should be posted here, and I eagerly await your input!  😀

Personal Update

This update doesn’t really affect anything, I have up until September 3rd scheduled so it’s really just letting anyone know whats going on.

Last month my step mom had surgery on the 12th, and about a week later, from complications and a few other pre-existing conditions conflicting with her getting better, she passed away.

Before I got the call from my dad I had been playing the Caldos and ran into some glitch (All of the current heiress’ relationships fucking vanished and just ugh lots of shit) and that’s what I was doing when I got the call and so I actually haven’t even opened up sims 4 since that.

Anyway, I hope that I’ll continue soon, of course more updates will always come on Tuesdays and Thursdays and hopefully I figure out that damn glitch.

But if Sept 3 comes around (or actually the Tuesday after it) and there’s no update, it’s because I just haven’t been in the mood to play.

I know I actually have quite a few followers, so I’d like to say I am doing really okay ish? (well, you know, as okay as I can be)  She and I were really close but she was also the person to teach me to be strong and stuff.  I’ve been watching old Survivor seasons because my dad and she were just big fans of the show (I’m a bit of a reality tv fan) and so I actually thought of a Survivor Sims Challenge?  Just put that on my list of things to do maybe I can just snatch a few old Caldos up or remake them in sims 2/4 and pit them against each other, I actually really want to do it.

I hope I get that glitch fixed because ~events~ were just about to happen and now they’re all fucking ruined but I just honestly don’t have it in me to figure it out right at this second, I just figured y’all should know whats up.

Caldo Sims 4 Legacy : “Caldo Diaries”

Before we get started with this project let me explain why it’s been like three? four? more? months since I’ve done anything.  Suddenly, one day, my computer just stopped working, there was nothing to be done.  I knew I probably needed a new hard drive but from what I knew my problem was not with the hardware.  Anyway, my hard drive got replaced and Geek Squad so lovingly neglected to backup my old hard drive like I asked them to and my last back up was literally just the start with Christmas.

And so I was pretty darn upset.  Then after that, this same laptop just completely crashes.  This time I don’t bother taking it to Geek Squad, I just wait until income tax to get a new one.

That’s the one I am on now so forgive any shitty graphics in the game, I’m sorry.

I decided to scrap the DITFT for now because I lost the last one and the wound’s still sore.  I’m doing another Legacy with a new Caldo founder and I plan to write it a bit differently so stay tuned!

SIMS 4 TRANSFER!

Well, I decided to go with it, and while we’re at it, I picked a BRAND… NEW… CHALLENGE!!!

I’ve gone through and made a seperate category for this, the old category is now labeled “Sims 3 Legacy Challenge” and the new one is “Sims 4 DITFT Challenge” and if we ever do anything else with the dear Caldos, then we’ll add on to it.

For the purpose of the TS4-DITFT, I will be remaking Christmas (to the best of my ability) in Sims 4 and she will be our founder.  🙂  I’m really looking forward to this and I hope you don’t all brand me a traiter for enjoying TS4.  I’m sure, like with all Sims Games, I will return to three periodically, and we can even do a challenge there, or jump to TS2 for a Challenge or two.  Until then, let’s do our TS4-DITFT!!!!
